Alpe-Adria Trail
Alpe-Adria Trail
The trail stretches from Grossglockner in Austria to Muggia on the Adriatic coast in northeast Italy. But our 10-day wine and gourmet food trek focuses on the sections along the Slovenia-Italy border. This is the section featuring one of the world’s best female chefs, the highly regarded wine regions of Collio and Brda, and a castle where Casanova stayed. The castle is now a wine and spa resort. While resting there, we will visit some of the world’s best orange winemakers, including Radikon. Other highlights include a special tasting of Schioppettino in Prepotto. Our tour finishes beyond the trail, in the seaside port of Koper and one of the most beautiful vineyards in the world where you will learn all about one of the most controversial grapes!
